Happy Women’s Equality Day. On this day in 1920, women in the United States were granted the right to vote by the 19th Amendment to the constitution (though the amendment was first introduced many years earlier in 1878). Women fought a very hard, though largely forgotten, fight to get this most basic right - and there’s still a long way to go in many areas.
