Several right-wing Christian organizations in the US have provided  support or tacit approval to anti-gay efforts overseas, including an infamous bill in Uganda that seeks to punish homosexuality with the death penalty. 

Two things to keep in mind: first, these are usually the same self-proclaimed “constitutional conservatives” that drape themselves in the American flag and claim to be all about freedom and liberty -except for people they don’t agree with of course.

Second, and most importantly, this gives us an idea of the sort of things these people would be doing here, if they had their way. Anyone who claims to be for freedom, while seeking to deprive it from vulnerable minorities, is pretty obviously insincere.
