To be fair, many libertarians don’t necessarily claim that hard work inevitably leads to wealth. However, it’s popularly believed that one’s wealth is a reflection of their productivity and value in society, which is erroneous: some of the hardest working people in the world are far from rich, yet they’re arguably far more valuable than people with a net work seven or eight figures.
